Congratulations on your academic qualifications, Amit. The organizations listed in this article can give you a good idea of the general scholarships available for engineering students. You can find even more by getting more specific about your qualifications and narrowing your search. Are you going into a specific area of engineering, such as chemical engineering? Look for scholarships just for chemical engineers. Many schools offer scholarships for current students, and some may even be specifically for College of Engineering students.

If you're studying to be an engineer, checking out the links on this page should help you find some scholarships that could be a good fit. You should also check with your college's financial aid office, they may be able to direct you to smaller scholarships that are only open to students at your school. Although scholarships are preferable, you should also investigate federal loans as a way to pay for your education.

Patrico,

Yes, I understand completely how expensive higher education can be. However, don't give up your search for scholarships. I graduated in 2003 with my BA and no student loan debt. It takes a lot of work to get to that point, but it can be done.
