Walters State Community College provides secondary education to about 6,000 students in ten, rural East Tennessee counties. The school has four primary campuses including those at Greene, Hamblen, Claiborne and Sevier.

The school offers university parallel majors and technical education programs, most of which are two-year programs.
- University Parallel Majors: These programs allow students to earn first and second-year credits that will transfer to other colleges. Students who are planning to attend a four-year college after leaving Walters State will want to consider this program option.
