Oklahoma City Community College is commonly referred to as the O-Triple-C. The community college, founded in 1972, provides enrollment for nearly 20,000 students annually.
About Oklahoma City Community College
A post-secondary school, Oklahoma City Community College offers certificate programs, courses for transfer to university-level schools and associate's degrees for Oklahoma City residents fresh out of high school or adults returning to school. Currently the college offers 36 different associate's degrees and 18 certificate programs. The college offers on-campus and online classes.
The school was founded as South Oklahoma City Junior College in 1972, and enrollment began in September of that year. The Board of Regents renamed the school Oklahoma City Community College in 1974. The college expanded through the 90s and into the early 21st century with a new library, an Olympic-sized pool and a science and engineering center.
Application Process
Students seeking enrollment can apply online. The college requires up-to-date vaccinations, high school transcripts and ACT scores. For adult students returning to college, check into the admission requirements and required test scores.
