Montgomery County Community College (MCCC) in Pennsylvania prides itself on thinking big in order to keep up with the educational needs of the community.

MCCC was founded in 1964. The community college continues to grow to meet the community’s needs. As of 2009, the school celebrates more than 30,000 alumni graduates. The school features two campuses and earned first place ranking from the Center for Digital Education for its use of technology. The high-quality, relevant curriculum offered at MCCC has placed more than two-thirds of its graduates in their field of study. The school is accredited by the Commission of Higher Education of the Middle States Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools.

At MCCC, students have access to over 82 associate degrees and more than 48 certificate programs. Eight of the 82 degrees are offered fully online, making MCCC a prime choice for adults returning to college. Graduates of the health science programs are consistently ranked beyond the national average in terms of their professional certifications. According to their website, MCCC can boast that 100 percent of their graduates receive their certifications on the first attempt.

The success of their students and graduates is the primary goal of MCCC. To that end, students can expect a low student to faculty ratio (about 16:1) as well as multiple points of contact, online and off. Students in the fully online degree programs can expect the same level of commitment from their instructors that on-campus students receive.

MCCC's focus on the student includes an Honors program, opportunities for overseas exchange, visiting scholars from around the globe and multiple on-campus student activities from writer’s workshops to a jazz club and a radio station.
