Georgia Southern University is a Carnegie Doctoral-Research university that offers students a classic, residential brick-and-mortar campus experience. The university is one of the largest in Georgia.

The university is over a century old and features classic architecture of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. The University is located in Statesboro on a 700 acre campus and has over 11,000 enrolled students.

According to the Georgia Southern brochure, the school offers more than 29 student organizations, a modern arts program and 110 degree programs that focus on everything from Business Administration and Education to Social Sciences, Liberal Arts, Health and Technology. The school is fully accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.

A first choice for many HOPE scholars in Georgia, students should contact the Office of Admissions or apply online. Prior to seeking admission be sure to have completed the SAT or ACT, in addition to reviewing the admission requirements for your program of study.

Prospective students and their parents can schedule a visit to the campus for a tour. The school features daily tours at 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. as well as regular Open House events where parents and future students can meet faculty and fellow learners.
